The NFPA process must be followed to make changes needed to improve a document. However, most contractors and inspectors do not know how the process works, yet they identify issues with the NFPA codes and standards that they use on a regular basis. This presentation will explain the process used to make changes to the 2020 edition of NFPA 25. Several changes initiated by NFSA staff at the direction of the E&S committee will be used to demonstrate the different stages of the process. Although the process has not been completed, important changes will be illustrated along with the next steps.
